Drivers & Office Volunteers for Veterans Service Office
The Nevada County Veterans Service Office (VSO) assists Veterans with obtaining the state and Federal benefits that they are entitled to. With a staff of three, the VSO is responsible for providing quality service to the 9,000 Veterans and their dependents who call Nevada County home.
The VSO office has two volunteer opportunities:
- The VSO provides rides to both the Reno VA Medical Center and the Mather VA Medical Center. These rides are provided to our aging, homeless, or low-income Veteran populations.
- The second opportunity is as an office volunteer. Here a volunteer can learn valuable office skills.
Both volunteer opportunities are critical to ensuring that our county Veterans receive the best customer service possible.
