Volunteer Meal Packer - Meals on Wheels Program
Join the team of dedicated Meals on Wheels volunteers that help create and provide meals that are delivered to homebound and isolated seniors in our community.
Under direction from the Nutrition Manager, the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Packer plays an important role that helps to serve seniors in need.
- Kitchen Assistant/Packers needed Monday-Thursday
- Time: 8:30am – 11am
Duties:
- Assist kitchen staff with packing meals
- Help count meals and gather information needed before deliveries
- Assist with loading of the meals on to carts and loading them into the Meals on Wheels Drivers' vehicles
Skills:
- Able to follow directions
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
- Must follow procedures and instructions as directed by staff
Requirements:
- Complete application form here
- Background check clearance
- Complete required trainings for all volunteers
- Desire to support in assisting seniors in our community
